Housemate/Live-in Caregiver Opportunity (Shared Housing)

I am seeking a female housemate/live-in caregiver for assistance in exchange for free rent and utilities plus additional income.

The individual will provide approximately 10 hours per week as a Personal Care Attendant assisting me (a wheelchair... user) and in addition to free rent/util can receive up to $500/month for optional further hours.

Personal Care Attendant Tasks include:

• Assisting with getting into and out of bed, bathing, maintaining mobility and medical equipment, etc. No heavy lifting is required, nor medical expertise.
• Running errands and occasional other driving, such as attending appointments
• Occasional administrative and organizing support, such as schedule-making

I am able to drive my adaptive van. After I am assisted to get up in the morning, I am able to be on my own most of the time. Although I rarely need help during the night, it is assumed that my housemate will sleep at home at least 5 nights a week, except for vacation time. When the caregiver is unable to carry out a shift, I employ other helpers to fill in.

Basic Household Tasks:

As housemates, we will share the typical responsibilities of maintaining the basic cleanliness of the home. We will make mutual, co-operative decisions for living enjoyably in our space.
